"Please be courteous. Tenants are conducting business. This area is not to be used for phone calls."
A sign bearing these three simple sentences has recently appeared by our door. Why it has been placed there or who requested it is a great mystery to all of us. We're the only tenant nearby (this is right outside our front door). So despite the fact that we're quite alright with anyone gazing out the window wistfully while talking on their phones, this "no phones" sentiment is undoubtably being attributed to us. And make no mistake about it: We're swiftly becoming pariahs in our own building.
Sure, we could probably call the building managers and do something about this, but for now I'm settling for this blog post and living with our awkward hallway trips.
